Coconut

The coconut (or: coconut) is actually not a nut, but a stone fruit of the coconut tree. The plant is about 20 to 30 meters high and can be up to 100 years old. The palm leaves can be up to 6 meters long and form a funnel to collect the water.

The fruit is in a green bolster. This is removed after the harvest, after which the hairy wooden note appears in the shops.

The origin is unknown, but the palm tree probably comes from South America and South Asia. In the coconut there is flesh and coconut water. No coconut milk! You get that when you grind the flesh.
